Celebrities Who Admit to Plastic SurgeryLast month we lost Joan Rivers, an indomitable comedic force in the entertainment industry. With nearly six decades in comedy, Joan poked fun at nearly everyone, including herself! Some of her funniest jokes were her most self-deprecating, especially when talking about her extensive experiences with plastic surgery:

“I wish I had a twin so I could know what I look like without plastic surgery.”

“I’ve had so much plastic surgery, when I die, they will donate my body to Tupperware.”

“I’m never without a bandage.”

As we remember and admire Joan for her brashness, let’s look at a few more examples of celebrities that have come clean about their experiences with plastic surgery, and how positive they were:

Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting

The star of “The Big Bang Theory” is not shy about her imperfections and taking action to improve them. A great example is having breast augmentation at age 18 to increase the size of her naturally small breasts. In the May 2014 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, Kaley said that getting breast implants was the “best decision I ever made.”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

According to Hollywood.com, the actor and television personality underwent liposuction on his chest in the mid-2000s because it was beginning to look too big.

“It was an aesthetic thing. I went in and showed the doctor, and he said, ‘Are you crazy?’ I was walking around with my shirt off all the time, so I had it done,” the Rock reportedly said.

Julie Chen

Last year, the host of “The Talk” admitted a shocking secret: at age 25, she underwent eyelid surgery in an effort to further her reporting career. She was told by several people in the news industry that her eyes were too small and made her look “disinterested and bored” on camera.

With her parents’ support, Julie had the surgery to make her eyes look bigger, and then saw her career skyrocket. “After I had it done, the ball did roll for me,” Julie said. “I have to live with every decision that I’ve made, and it got me to where we are today. And I’m not going to look back.”

Simon Cowell

The reality television star is a fan of injectable treatments, telling the U.K.’s Glamour magazine, “To me, Botox is no more unusual than toothpaste. It works, you do it once a year, who cares?”

Cameron Diaz

After breaking her nose in a surfing accident in 2003, Cameron had rhinoplasty to fix the injury and improve her breathing function. “[The surgery is] not cosmetic – it’s purely medical,” she said.
