Dysport is an injectable product that Drs. Tripti Burt and Neena Will use to soften lines around our patients’ faces. Much like Botox, Dysport relaxes the wrinkle-causing muscles on the forehead and around the eyes. Dysport Uses
Dysport is commonly used to treat wrinkles on the forehead, between the eyes and on the outer corners of the eyes (crow’s feet). The injectable should be carefully administered by a trained, experienced professional in order to avoid making you look unnatural or frozen.

What to Expect During Treatment
A Dysport treatment session is quick, convenient and non-invasive. Dr. Burt or Dr. Willteam injects small amounts of the product using a fine needle to minimize any discomfort. If needed, we will apply ice packs and topical anesthesia to numb your skin and minimize swelling. The Dysport actually blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily weakening the muscles and preventing them from contracting.
The number of injections you receive will depend on the extent of your wrinkles, your facial features and other factors. Our plastic surgeons and skincare professionals are able to pinpoint the specific wrinkle-producing muscles without affecting your normal facial expressions.
Dysport treatments usually last about 15 minutes, making them quick and convenient to schedule. After your treatment, we can provide you with a homeopathic medicine called Arnica Montana to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling. Mild swelling and bruising may occur, but are only temporary side effects. Many of our patients are able to leave the office after Dysport treatment and immediately return to their normal activities with no downtime.
Dysport Uses
You should notice results from Dysport treatment within 24 to 48 hours, and they will continually improve over the course of a week. Results typically last three to four months, at which point repeat treatments become necessary to maintain your look. Our office can send you reminders to keep you on track.
