TRUSCULPT

Sculpting Confidence, One Treatment at a Time

TruSculpt Non-Invasive Laser Body Contouring

Until recently, patients who wanted to contour their bodies only had one option: plastic surgery. But now they can undergo non-invasive truSculpt body contouring treatment to melt fat, reduce the appearance of cellulite and improve skin tone with little to no discomfort. This revolutionary, non-invasive technology represents a new frontier in body sculpting.

Employing a specially sized truSculpt transducer, Drs. Burt and Will convert radio frequency (RF) energy to heat, and apply this heat to the deeper layers of tissue, melting fat and tightening skin in the process. In just a few short visits, patients can quickly see visible, permanent fat reduction results in the treated area.

The Naperville cosmetic surgeons can use truSculpt to treat both large and small areas of the body. They can treat inner thighs and “saddle bags” (i.e., the extra fat that accumulates on the outside of the upper thighs) with this revolutionary body contouring procedure. The leading plastic surgeons can also use truSculpt to treat any area where fat or cellulite accumulates such as under the arms or around the buttocks, thighs or abdomen.

The truSculpt Treatment

During treatment, the Naperville truSculpt provider passes a hand-held electrode over a portion of skin, gently emitting a gentle pulsation of radio frequency (RF) energy. Each session lasts about four minutes, and the entire process typically takes less than one hour. The RFs penetrate and gently heat the skin’s deepest layers while leaving the epidermis cool. The procedure is almost totally painless because the truSculpt professional can manually adjust the outer temperature for comfort. There is no anesthesia, and most patients may endure some minor redness and swelling which improves within hours. It takes approximately 30 minutes to treat moderately sized areas, such as saddle bags, and about 60 minutes to treat a larger area, such as the abdominal region. “Our patients are able to leave the spa or office and return to work without any downtime,” says Dr. Will.

How truSculpt Works

The patient does not need any special preparation or anesthesia prior to the treatment. This is because Dr. Burt and Dr. Will can adjust the transducer during treatment to accommodate each patient’s unique tolerance for heat. The heat breaks down fat cells in the underlying tissue layers, making it easy for the body to expel the permanently damaged fat cells through its natural detoxification process. The plastic surgeons can treat fat as far as 1.5 centimeters below the skin’s surface.

As an added benefit, the heat generated by the transducer also tightens overlying skin, improving skin tone and the temporary appearance of cellulite. Typically, the cosmetic surgeons will recommend a second truSculpt treatment one month following the initial procedure for optimum results. Patients will continue to see an improvement in the treated area for up to three months.

The Benefits of truSculpt

Studies have shown that heating the subcutaneous tissues at 45° C stimulates fat cells, resulting in a 60-percent loss in viability. After five years of development, truSculpt has received FDA clearance for improvement in the appearance of cellulite.

truSculpt is ideal for patients who do not desire surgery, are not suitable candidates for surgery or cannot spare any time off from work or family life to recover following surgery.
There is no restriction to sun exposure afterwards so you can have these treatments before and during the summer too!

truSculpt can be used on all skin types. The ideal candidate is someone who has saddle bags, bra rolls or visible bulges on the upper arms, inner thighs, abdomen or flanks.
