Rediscover Your Natural Beauty
For those seeking facial rejuvenation, Burt & Will is now offering fat transfer as a safe, state-of-the-art option. Instead of an artificial solution like dermal fillers, fat transfer creates volume in the face with your own fatty tissue, which moves and feels as natural as possible. Because the fatty tissue can be seamlessly integrated in the face, the results can last indefinitely and have almost no risk of complications.
Fat transfer for the face is one of the best ways to restore volume in the face lost through aging. Fat transfer can go beyond restoring facial volume; it can treat smile lines, marionette lines, plump the lips, and reverse depressions under the eyes and on the temples.
What is Fat Transfer?
Also known as Microlipoinjection or autologous fat transfer, facial fat transfer extracts a graft of fatty tissue from parts of the body with excess fat to give, like the abdomen and thighs. These grafts are then injected into parts of the face to add volume and minimize lines and wrinkles.

How Autologous Fat Transfer is Performed
There are three components in performing fat transfer. First, the doctor will harvest fat from other parts of your body using the liposuction technique. Second, the extracted fat tissues will go through processing and centrifugation. Third, the purified fat tissues will be injected into the targeted areas in the face.
The entire procedure is performed on an outpatient basis and takes approximately two to three hours to complete. Typically, we will use local anesthetics for this procedure.
Benefits of Autologous Fat Transfer
Autologous fat transfer is gaining prominence as one of the safest and long-lasting methods of facial rejuvenation. Its rising reputation is due to its many benefits:
- There is no allergy risk, as we will use your own body fat.
- It sculpts the donor area by reducing excess fat.
- It provides long lasting and natural-looking results.
- There is no need for incisions, as your doctor will use small instruments to perform the fat transfer.
Alternatives to Autologous Fat Transfer
For those who want a viable alternative to autologous fat transfer, Burt & Will offers Sculptra®, a type of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) injectable that triggers new collagen production. With the Sculptra® solution, you can naturally and gradually regain youthful skin down to the cellular level. Sculptra® offers similar results to autologous fat transfer, and its result can last for at least two years.
