Plastic Surgery for Brighter Eyes

Do you ever get told you look tired even after you have had a full night of sleep? Wrinkles, crow’s feet and dark under-eye circles can add to an aged, haggard appearance. Fortunately, Burt Plastic Surgery offers several plastic surgery procedures (both surgical and nonsurgical) to help you enhance your eyes. Here are our most popular requests.

Eyelid Lift

As you age, the skin on your eyelids loses elasticity, muscle tone is lost and fat is displaced. Eyelid lift removes excess skin and tissue and tightens the remaining skin from the upper eyelids for a brighter, rejuvenated appearance. The procedure can also treat the lower eyelids; excess skin and fat is removed, while drooping skin is lifted, minimizing the appearance of dark under-eye circles.

Facelift

If you have begun to see wrinkles around the eyes, chances are you may have spotted a few more on other areas of the face. Over time, creases begin to form around the mouth, while wrinkles and fine lines surface on the forehead, nose and cheek areas. Facelift surgery eliminates unwanted signs of aging on the facial skin, including around the eyes. The procedure tightens loose, sagging skin for a smoother, younger-looking appearance. Fat is also redistributed, while muscle tone is restored. Depending on your aesthetic concerns and goals, your plastic surgeon may recommend facelift surgery along with, or instead of, eyelid surgery.

Botox

If you seek brighter, rejuvenated eyes but are not ready to undergo a surgical procedure, Botox may be a more viable option. The treatment smooths out wrinkles, creases and fine lines by treating the facial muscles underneath. Botox injections can be used to treat crow’s feet, squint lines between the eyes and lines across the forehead. The results are temporary and typically last three to six months depending on the amount of injections.

Juvederm

Juvederm is an effective hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler used to treat lines and creases by adding volume to the face. The treatment is especially popular for treating tear troughs or under-eye circles. The procedure is also a commonly sought out by patients who seek fuller, more luscious lips. Results are temporary, however, so multiple treatments are recommended.
